Information, coordination, and capacity building to adapt to climate change
One of the biggest challenges to addressing climate change preparedness and responses is limited access to information and expertise at all levels of decision making—from America’s communities to the halls of Congress. This section includes opportunities to get technical support to local government, provide coordination across federal agencies to avoid development of conflicting responses, provide training for federal agency and congressional staff on adaptation practice, and support research to enhance our national understanding of what is effective adaptation so it can be deployed from coast to coast.
The boxes below allow you to filter and view specific policy options to provide information, improve coordination, and build capacity to adapt to climate change. Each includes a brief description, design considerations, U.S. experience, additional resources, and related policies.
